Dr Milinda Suraweera is an aerospace engineer with more than two decades of experience across advanced aerospace programs, spacecraft development, hypersonic research and complex engineering systems. His career spans the design, qualification and flight development of advanced aerospace vehicles, including hypersonic flight programs, missile systems, and space access technologies.

Dr Suraweera has contributed to internationally recognised aerospace initiatives involving:

• Hypersonic flight vehicle development

• Space access vehicle engineering

• Missile system design and testing

• Aerospace qualification and verification

• Advanced propulsion and vehicle systems

He has held engineering leadership roles supporting major aerospace research programs involving organisations such as the United States Air Force Research Laboratory and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

He completed his PhD in Hypersonic and continues to advance aerospace technology through research, innovation, and engineering leadership.
